Since our firm was founded in 1981, we have been providing our clients with legal advice and representation to help them achieve their goals. We have expertise in wide variety of fields, but regardless of the subject matter our philosophy has always been to understand our clients’ needs and goals, to provide them with the highest level of legal advice and representation, and to protect and advance their interests. Perhaps this is why most of our clients have come to us by referrals from other clients, or from attorneys with whom we have worked on other matters.

We offer an unusually broad mix of practice areas for a firm of our size. Our diverse range of practice areas includes antitrust and trade regulation, business law and transactions, communications, corporate law, estate planning, litigation, media, outdoor advertising, and white collar criminal defense. Our practice is both domestic and international in scope. In addition to our private client practice, we count among our corporate clients major national and international corporations, institutions, associations, and nonprofit organizations, including Clear Channel Communications; the German Embassy – Washington DC.; Farr Miller & Washington, Gould Properties; Kiplinger Washington Editors; Lamar Advertising and Parking Management, Inc. (PMI).

Our attorneys bring a wide range of legal skills and experience to the practice. The firm’s roster includes the nation’s leading authority on outdoor advertising law, a former Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York, the former Corporation Counsel for the District of Columbia, and a former FCC official who has been named one of the most influential African Americans in broadcasting. Our attorneys are admitted to practice in five states, in trial and appellate courts throughout the United States and Germany.

While most or our attorneys have worked in large law firms early in their legal careers, they have found the right fit with the direct client contact and flexible team approach of our firm.

We are an active participant in the Washington, D.C. community. Our firm provides pro bono services to the Washington office of Justice for Children, a nonprofit that advocates on behalf of abused children. Most of our firm’s attorneys are involved in a wide range of civic, community and charitable organizations.
